Safe Coastal Tourism applauds this initiative as it proofs the recognition that lack of knowledge and underestimation of the hazards of the sea should be addressed in order to decrease the number of drownings. The risk of drowning can only be reduced if beachgoers become aware of the dangers of the sea.
